ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Hello my people! In this video i will talk about many things around my experience learning English in the university.

My experience of the English teaching in the Uch began in the first semester of 2015, in my first year in the University; particularly, when I was cursing the ‘pre intermediate’ level of English. That subject, how I remember, was orientated to teach some theory things, but also has a practice dimension. I think this last thing was, and is, the more relevant in my formation; because, in my experience, I easily forgot the theory aspects of the teaching. Now I consider the practice aspect valid and relevant in my actual formation in English. Because of that, I think that the ‘blog’ is a relevant instance for the practice.

For the other hand, a part of the evaluation system in the level ‘intermediate’ of the English teaching in the university generates me some ‘suspicion’, because is an instance of evaluation that is separated of the subject in some level; that is, for example, because the people in the curse don’t know the evaluators, or his standards. That system remembers me the PSU test.

Other thing that I consider relevant to talk about is the use of English in the out class context. Particularly, I use a lot the English, for see series, play video games, read books, etc. But, in my academic context, curiously, I don’t use very much the English, in fact, I only use for the subjects that have a theory tradition from countries like EE.UU or England. But, my particular formation has been orientated to the teaching of psychology of countries like France or Germany.

The best Holidays (Post 2)

Hello everyone! In this post I will talk about the best holydays that I remember

When I was a children I lived in an island in the south of Punta Arenas called Navarino Island. In that place was very difficult do thing like travel because we were not have transport for that. But, in an occasion; because the visit of my grandparent, I, my parents and my grandparents travel to Puerto Natales. This was when I had around six years old, and was for two weeks. In these place, I went to many places, like Milodon cave, to a very old bridge make of wood, and to the beach, where was many ice on it. I think that was a very good experience, because I was with my grandparents who I hadn’t seen for a much time.  Also, was a good holiday because a visit places that were amazing to me in that time. I think because these experience I like now very much the south of Chile and I think in travel to there in the future

My study programme

Hello! In this post i will talk about some things referring to my career.

        

First, I want to refer to the different subjects that compound my study program. The career of psychology has two academic moments: the first or basic level; and the second or specialisation level. The basic level consists in an introduction to all the basic aspects of the social sciences; while the specialisation level have different groups of  specialisation subjects clustered in function of the psychology perspective that have on. I consider that this perspective have some problems that I want to discuss. An initial problem consists in the selection of the subjects in the basic level; in general all of these are selected in function of a contemporary-hegemonic tech-scientific view that doesn’t pick up the different interest of the students. For example, many students want an ethical, historic and politic view of the psychology.

The second theme that I want to discuss is the teaching methods. In general, the career of psychology has an instructional and expositive method of teaching; but, the career has other methods of teaching too, like groups of discuss and semester works. I think that the majority of the teachers know that the paradigm of the instructional education method is paternalist and mean; but, because administrative and bureaucratic things, they have to apply the programmatic view of the institution. But, in really, I don’t know how operate the academic freedom in the Uchile.

In third place, I think that the duration of the career is very good; but I consider relevant be critic with the final level –the ‘thesis level’-; (but, in fact, I don’t know very well this level of the career). Other things like the infrastructure, and the technologic doesn’t affect (or at least not to me) very much the career, so I don’t will discuss about this.

Holidays

Hello! In this occasion I will write about some things concerning to the Holidays of December, and after that, with the vacations.

To be honest, I don’t care very much about the holidays (like Christmas), in fact I don’t like much these days. I think this is because the capitalistic nature of all the things around festivities. I consider that these days only prove some subjective position relating to the relation of the persons with themselves; particularly, in the expression of an ethical imperative (I need to be, for example, a good mother); an identity pressure (for example, the position of a ‘good father’ in the occidental conception of a family); etc. And these things are at the same time linked with the strategic of the market.

For the things mentioned in the previous paragraph, I am considering two things for these holidays. The first is simple, I would do nothing, or work, or something similar. The second option that I like very much is travel to some place where these things will be irrelevant, how some places where the American imperialist wasn’t arrive; like, I don’t know, the Tibet.  

Otherwise, the vacations represent to me a moment where I can look over the things that I will do in the year. But, at the same, is moments where I can do all the things that I wanted before, like play games and see movies. In the other hand, this vacations I want too going to Argentina; that because this places have a very extensive editorial and library culture; and have a big tradition in the teaching of psychoanalysis.  

Practice process

Hello people

                In this ocation i want to talk about the problematic in the management of the practice process done for the department of psychology in the Uch.

                In very hallway conversation with mates of generation of the career, particularly those that want to do his practice in the clinical section, I listened, and feeling too, very critics about the practice process. The most mentioned, and the most general, is about the ‘timing’ considered by the administration for the process. Much of the thing that we have to do is limited to a space of some weeks; particularly, the selection of practice centers is something that we have to do in a week. This, in addition, is even problematic because the knowing of the different centers of practice was mentioned in the same week.

                Furthermore, I verified other problematic in the administration of the process, in the question of the capacity process centers. This problematic is related to the different centers and his relation with the lines of clinical perspective; so, for the psychoanalytic perspective, for example, existed only one quota for the Hospital San Juan de Dios. This generates very expectancy in all that have to want to do the process in this area.  Also, the information of the different center and his work method will give to us later of the process in self.

                Finally, the getting of a quota in a center; or in a guidance teacher or thesis; is very irregular. This is because in the induction explication of the practice process was mentioned that the student can gain a quota in, for an example, a practice, by a conversation with the different teachers (in out of period process); but, also exist a regular way, that consider an interview, to gain a quota in the centers of practice.

               

In synthesis, the process is a little irregular.

The graduate studies

In this post i will write about the post graduate studies that I consider in the future.

In this moment, honestly, i haven´t thought in a pragmatic way the question for the post grade studies. The reason of that is because i am centering now on the practice dimension of my career; particularly, the specific practice of the clinical orientation of psychology. I think that the knowledge in the clinical psychoanalytic orientation is insufficient in comparison with the experience. Because of that, i think that in the future i will concentrate on gaining experience more that in studying. However, after having clarified this, i consider relevant the post graduate studies for many reasons.

         I consider relevant the knowledge that I can gain in the academic context in virtue of the view of a determinate orientation of clinical psychoanalytic. This subject has many orientations and diversification in the understanding of the meaning about the ‘clinical reality’; for example, the French school put the principle of the psychoanalytic sense in the misalignment of the legacy gained in the subjective constitution in the encounter with the otherness; while some orientations of the English school consider relevant the capability of the subject in the dominion of his ‘Trieb’ life. Because of this, I consider relevant the transmission of the experience and know from a teacher involve in the clinical practice. In virtue of this, I consider Argentine a good place to gain experience and knowledge, because in this country the psychoanalysis has a relevant historic and institutional development. However, because the conditions of the practice, I can’t study in distance modality.

Some things about the jobs

Hi, in this post i am going to talk about the job that i would like to have

Actually, i am managing the possibility of enter in a organisation or institution cantered in clinical psychoanalytic; particularly in the infant and juvenile area. I really like this perspective and all involve in this; maybe because are some of my own infancy involve in my subjective quotidian experience that gush up in some level; i dont know how to explain very well this. As well i like the adult clinical practice. In general i like the subconscious experience and the sense of freedom involve in the same; such as in the experience of analytic listen, or in a listened position. This is somewhat difficult of explain in argumentative level; in fact, i think that the best form of apprehend this is with a subconscious formation, like the symptom, dreams, etc. But, however, this type of job usually is practised in indoors centres, but, i like the idea of doing in a outdoor place. 

Other relevant thing is the salary; this is very relative. I would like to job in the public system, or in institutions with a progressist view, opened to the public in general. Also, i like the idea of getting more experience and knowledge; because of this, i would like to do major studies. 

My career

Hello everyone

In this entry i will talk about mi career. Actually, i am studying psychology in the ‘Universidad de Chile’. The reasons that took me to prefer this career are very diverse, however all of them are linked with my experience in another career where i was after psychology; in 2014 I enter to laws in the Pucv, where a stay for one semester, however, even though I like this career, I want some other elements that the Pucv don’t give to me, for example, optative subjects. Other things that don’t satisfying me enough was the limitation of the subjects to a technic view of the laws,  leaving aside the philosophic orientation, and the moral and ethical discussion under the actual exercise of the law. Because of this I think that was a good option enters to other university, with other focus, like de Uch. With this argument I consider get into laws in Uch, but in the process I think that mi interest was going to the discussion about the person and the subject, and not to the laws. For this I enter to psychology. However, I think in other options like sociology, or philosophy, but I don’t have some references to think deeply this decision. Nevertheless, I have a uncle that work how psychology that let me know that all the things that I was looking for maybe will be present in this career.

A good animation movie

I want a write today of a random movie that i see in Netflix, called "The breadwinner". This is an animation movie bring out for Netflix, and produced for different studios from Canada and Ireland (Cartoon Saloon, Guru Studio, Irish Film Board, etc.). The concept of the movie consists in the problematic lived for a Afghan family, and in particular for one of his members, the protagonist called 'Parvana'. The context of the family remits to the post-soviet occupation, and posterior re promotion of the Islamic fundamentalist on the country, with the correlative institution of a politic-religious regime. The consequences for Parvana and his family of this situation consist in severe and systematic oppression, like censorship of the books that people read, and vigilance of the task and jobs that woman’s do -in the fact, the extreme Islamic only permit to woman’s stay at home, or walk on the street with a men how companion. Under this oppression, the movie will center in the forms that Parvana do for live with his sister and mother after the imprisonment of this father for possession of books. 

Places and stuff

Hello everyone!

In the today's post i will gonna write about some locations that i wanna to visit -or that i think want to visit-, but, first of all, i will introduce you in the blog thematic. In the conception of this blogg i guess this will be for write about random things and persons that i like -because of that, i choose this title- maybe that happens in the future, that will be very grateful.

Today, however, i will write about places that i like to visit. I think that are two types of places that interest me; first, places where is no, or low, population, like deserts or ice landscape; two, cities or villages, or places like these tipe. In particular, i think i wanna to visit some Asia places, like Japan, because his culture -and his anime-, oceanic countries, like New Zealand, -in especial the place where was filmed the lord of the rings-, because i like that movie; and, finally, Latinoamérica in general, for his beautiful landscapes.
